Time for indoor pursuits. I stumbled on the recipe for these Turkish Mixed Vegetable Pickles and they’ve become my new favorite ferment.
We made them with the last bounty of CSA vegetables, which threatened to overwhelm the house. Like any ferment, use what you have, but do read the piece linked above to learn about the endless historical and cultural aspects of Turkish pickles.
I think it’s the 3.5 ounces of cider vinegar that makes these especially delicious, but I’m not the Pickle Queen:
